Alexis Karol holds a B.A. in Theatre with departmental honors from Fordham University's College at Lincoln Center and a Masters in Education from National University, where she received the Distinguished Student Award. She holds a Single Subject teaching credential in English with authorization in Theatre, a Multiple Subjects credential,
Alexis Karol holds a B.A. in Theatre with departmental honors from Fordham University's College at Lincoln Center and a Masters in Education from National University, where she received the Distinguished Student Award. She holds a Single Subject teaching credential in English with authorization in Theatre, a Multiple Subjects credential, and a CTE credential, meaning she is certificated by the State of California to teach all grades, K-12, and classes organized primarily for adults. Ms. Karol brings her experience as a professional actor to the classroom, which includes appearances on stage in New York, Southern California, and throughout the country on national tour. Previously, Ms. Karol was a teacher and director at the Academy for the Performing Arts in Huntington Beach, Orange County School of the Arts in Santa Ana, and Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove.

Ms. Karol believes in creating a safe, positive environment in which students feel comfortable taking creative risks which foster both artistic and personal growth. A true educator, she believes students must be taught applicable skills and provided with authentic opportunities to practice them. Within the framework of collaboration, Ms.

She has observed the unique capabilities of drama to provide students with skills that aid their success in school, college, the workplace, and beyond. Competencies and values exhibited by drama students include teamwork, creative problem solving, compassion, dedication, and discipline; all of which are necessary in our diverse and innovative culture. Ms. Karol is currently pursuing a second masters degree in Leadership through Seattle City University.
